Our story
The Ankar Group Kochi has been formed with the intent of serving consumers and traders with various lines of business. Starting of as a modest family business that engaged in Distribution of ITC products by the Late Shri Lachmandas B Aswani, the next generation headed by Lachmandas Vishnudas and Deepak L Aswani shaped the businesses into an Empire of various Distribution of our Retail ventures including Bombay Dyeing and Raymond Shop. With the entry of the 3rd generation and family partition of businesses, a further foray into Property development and management added more lustre to the business.
Our Vision
We strive to serve the broader community for various trading needs, including distribution of household essential goods or providing a delightful experience for wedding or everyday shopping needs, and managing properties where traders reach mass audiences to promote their products and services.

Founder
A visionary in the truest sense, he was instrumental in diversifying a small family business into the realms of Textile Retail and Distribution. He also made excellent property investment decisions that paved the way for expansion into property management arena. As past president and international district governor for Rotary International he spearheaded many projects true to the motto of service above self. His many contributions have touched hearts worldwide and continued to inspire us achieved event greater heights.
Rajeev Aswani
Managing Director
Having completed his MBA in Information Technology and Marketing from Illinois Institute of technology, Chicago, USA; Rajeev built a successful career in building successful products and services in leading technology companies such as IBM, Synopsys and Cisco Inc. Following the family partition in 2014, he took over the business handling distribution and retail of household essential products and textiles and developed properties which are leased by leading worldwide organizations and emerging business faces.
Kamiya W Aswani
Director
Kamna completed her education in Indore and joined the business in 2014 focusing on operational management of Raymond retail showrooms for the group. She is researching new business ideas and expanding the group business to next level in the near future.
Francis Xavier
Director
From a very modest beginning as a computer operator, Francis quickly grew to being the backbone of the ITC distribution wing of one of the largest branches in the country. His excellent customer relation and people management skills are known across the ITC wholesale and retail channels. He was promoted as Director in 2018 and has been instrumental in development of properties owned by the group.
